Digital Imaging
Our dentists very carefully decide when and what kinds of radiographs are taken for patients. Radiographs are x-ray images that are used in combination with low radiation levels in order to capture images of hard-to-see areas of your mouth, such as the interior of your teeth and gums.
Due to the invasive nature of radiographs, we make sure to very carefully assess the necessity and type, keeping patient wellbeing, health, and urgency in mind.
In a dental office, radiographs allow your dentist in diagnosing a wide variety of issues, such as cavities, tooth decay, and impacted teeth and/or gums. They also facilitate the examination and determination of one’s bone level, bone health, roots, nerves, lesions (cysts/tumors), and oral damage/trauma.
